Our team — people, not resources
Maison Louis is a family adventure in the true sense of the word. Our team is made up of family members, sincere and loyal friends who share the same values. Here, everyone matters. Quality of life at work is not a slogan displayed in a corridor — it is a daily reality.
We also welcome workers recognised by MDPH and in situations of disability. Not to tick a box, but because we believe that difference enriches a team and that a caring environment enables everyone to give their best.

Our producers — partners, not suppliers
Every product stocked at Maison Louis is the result of a direct relationship with a local or regional producer. No unnecessary intermediaries, no pressure on prices at the expense of craftsmanship. We are committed to remunerate our partners fairly and to build lasting relationships.
Our producers are families established in the Grand Sud-Ouest — Landes, Gers, Hautes-Pyrénées, Tarn, Aude, Hérault. Their work is part of traditions passed down from generation to generation, which we strive to enhance and preserve.

Animal welfare — a conviction, not a constraint
We sometimes hear this legitimate question: how can we reconcile respect for animals with the sale of meat products? Our answer is simple and honest. We do not claim that slaughter is inconsequential. We do assert, however, that the difference between artisanal farming and agro-industrial practices is fundamental — and it is precisely this difference that we defend.
Our farmers favour practices that limit recourse to treatments, within the logic of extensive, open-air farming that respects the natural rhythm of animals: Moulard ducks for Foie gras, black pigs of Bigorre roaming freely in the Pyrenees, all benefit from dignified rearing conditions. This is an ethical and economic choice that we fully assume.
Our environment — small actions, genuine commitment
We are not a large company with a dedicated sustainable development department. We are a small family-run business that makes concrete choices, at our own scale, because we live and work in the territory we love.
Favouring recyclable packaging and avoiding over-packaging. Our glass containers and metal boxes are recyclable through French sorting systems.
By prioritising short supply chains, we seek to limit long-distance transport and preserve the regional economic sector.
Participation in the local life of Capens and the Toulouse catchment area. Support for local initiatives whenever we can.
In our shop, we seek to minimise unnecessary packaging and guide our customers towards responsible practices.
What we are not yet doing — and our objectives
An honest corporate social responsibility policy also means acknowledging our current limitations. We do not yet have a formalised carbon footprint assessment. We do not yet have official certification. Our delivery packaging can be improved.
These projects are underway. As we develop, we wish to:
- Obtain written commitments from our producers on animal welfare and environmental practices
- Formalise our annual environmental report
- Progress towards fully eco-designed delivery packaging
- Develop partnerships with local integration structures
- Share our progress regularly with transparency
