Château Toulifaut 2018 is a dry red Pomerol, emblematic of this renowned appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux. Crafted primarily from Merlot, the region’s premier grape variety, it is occasionally complemented by subtle touches of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2018 vintage benefited from favourable weather conditions, yielding ripe and concentrated grapes, indicative of excellent ageing potential and fine structure. Pomerol’s clay-gravelly terroir promotes slow maturation of Merlot, revealing wines of great depth, both velvety and powerful.
