Clos Margalaine 2016 is a dry red wine from the Margaux appellation, one of the most renowned in the Médoc region of Bordeaux. Typically produced from a blend of classic Bordeaux grape varieties, this wine showcases Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, sometimes accompanied by a touch of Cabernet Franc or Petit Verdot. The 2016 vintage is unanimously praised for its exceptional quality in Bordeaux, offering wines of great aromatic richness, refined structure and remarkable ageing potential. Wine-making in Margaux favours elegance and finesse, often accompanied by ageing in oak barrels which imparts empyreumatic notes and pleasant complexity.
